Your journal entries are stored locally on your device using SQLite. They never leave your phone unless you choose to use optional AI-powered features, which process text transiently through secure cloud infrastructure. Yeoun never stores journal content on our servers.
When you use AI features, sanitized portions of your journal text are sent to Anthropic (Claude) for processing. Your data is never used to train AI models. It is processed transiently and may be retained briefly by Anthropic for safety monitoring per their policy. You can revoke AI consent at any time from your Profile settings.
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Yeoun in the list and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep premium features until the end of your current billing period.
Open Yeoun, go to Profile, scroll down, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your authentication credentials and all server-side data. Journal entries stored locally on your device are also deleted. This action cannot be undone.
Yes. You can export your journal as a PDF at any time from the app for free. Your data always belongs to you.
Yes. Since your entries are stored locally, you can write, edit, and browse your journal without an internet connection. AI features and account operations require connectivity.
Yeoun is designed for users aged 13 and older. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
